Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but healing is a process, not a quick fix. Therapy works best when you’re open, but you can go at your own pace. Your feelings are valid, and discomfort often signals growth. Be kind to yourself, progress comes in small steps. You deserve support, and you don’t have to wait for a crisis to seek it.
We offer evidence-based psychological therapy, assessments, and report writing services for adults and adolescents, delivered via secure telehealth across Australia.
Medicare rebates are available for eligible services with a referral from your general practitioner and a Medicare card.

Telehealth counselling is also known as online counselling, virtual therapy, teletherapy, cybertherapy, remote therapy or e-therapy. It is a counselling session that is conducted via phone or video, enabling people to access mental health support from anywhere.

For online/video sessions:
Telehealth offers flexibility, privacy, and accessibility, but just like in-person therapy, the quality of your experience depends on how you show up. Here’s how to make it work for you:
Find a private, quiet space
Choose somewhere you won’t be interrupted, ideally a room with a door, where you feel safe to speak openly. If that’s not possible, using headphones and a white noise app outside the door can help protect your privacy.
Use a stable internet connection
A poor connection can disrupt the session flow and make it harder to stay present. If possible, plug into your internet directly or sit close to your router.
Set up your screen at eye level
Position your camera so we can see your face clearly, this helps us pick up on non-verbal cues and makes the session feel more connected.
Minimise distractions
Close tabs, silence your phone, and let others know you’re unavailable. This is your time. Treat it as you would an in-person appointment.
Bring a notebook or journal
It can be helpful to jot down thoughts or insights during or after the session. Writing things down between sessions also helps track progress or identify themes.
Allow yourself to settle in
Give yourself 5–10 minutes beforehand to pause, breathe, and mentally arrive. This transition time can make a big difference in how engaged you feel.
Keep essentials nearby
Have a glass of water, tissues, and anything grounding (like a fidget, cushion, or weighted object) within reach. Small comforts matter.
Don’t rush off
If possible, give yourself a buffer after the session before jumping back into work or family demands. Integration time helps the work land more deeply.
